Other secondary care costs
Secondary care resource use can be elicited looking at routine
secondary care records e.g. by the review of case notes.
Alternatively, they may be collected using a health care
utilisation questionnaire completed by the patient. The data
collected should include:
- Other operations in time period
- Visits to other specialties in time period.
Unit costs for these resources should be based on nationally available
data and/or study-specific estimates.
